Aamtrak's Santa Train

On Saturday December 6, 2008, Aamtrak's Santa Train will be making stops in Raleigh, Cary, Durham, Burlington and Greensboro. Santa's train leaves the station early (at 7:00 a.m.!) but riders will be able to hang out with Santa, and enjoy live holiday-themed entertainment and refreshments with Santa during a 40 minute layover at the Greensboro train station before heading home on the Eastbound train which leaves Greensboro's station at 9:21 a.m. Santa will make the round-trip between Raleigh and Greensboro.

Round-trip tickets are $10-$22 for adults, half price for accompanied kids ages 2-15, and free from kids under 2. For more information, or to buy tickets, go to the Raleigh, Durham, Greensboro, or Charlotte train stations or call 1-800-USA-RAIL.

Brier Creek Commons

8000 Brier Creek Parkway, Raleigh

Santa will be making an appearance at Brier Creek Commons Shopping Center on November 14, 2008, and he's going to bring his sleigh with him. From 5:30-8:30 p.m., you can enjoy a Christmas tree lighting ceremony, visit with Santa, meet Peppermint the Pony (who will be giving cart rides to kids), and take complimentary horse-drawn sleigh rides.

Crabtree Valley Mall

November 15-December 24

On Saturday, November 15 at 8:30 a.m., enjoy breakfast and an early morning magic show and [http://www.crabtree-valley-mall.com/event_details.cfm?&eid=49]visit with Santa Claus[/link]. Admission is free, and the event will be held at Crabtree Valley Mall's Food Court .

From November 15-December 24, Santa will be spreading cheer throughout Crabtree Valley Mall's Promotional Court starting in mid-November. Check out [http://www.crabtree-valley-mall.com/new.cfm]Crabtree Valley Mall's Santa Guide[/link] to plan your visit with Santa at Crabtree Valley Mall.

If you want your pet to meet Santa, you're in luck! On Tuesday evenings from 6:00-9:00 p.m., you can bring your pet to the mall and have its picture taken with Santa. Pet Night with Santa will be taking place on November 18 and 25, and on December 2 and 9.

The Victorian Voices singers and holiday performances by local organizations and school groups will also add holiday cheer at Crabtree Valley Mall.

Cary Towne Center

November 7-December 24

Santa will be at Cary Towne Center everyday from the mall's opening to closing times (although he does take some breaks to check on the reindeer). Visits with Santa are free, though if you want a photo package of the visit, or a commemorative keychain, fees do apply.

Pets can get their photos taken with Santa during Cary Towne Center's Santa Paws visits. The Santa Paws event takes place on November 19, December 6 and December 10, from 8:00-9:00 p.m. Your pets can meet Santa for free, but photo packages of their visit start at $15.99.

Streets of Southpoint

November 22-December 24
10:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m. Mon.-Sat., 12:00 noon-6:00 p.m. Sun.

Visit with Santa at the Streets of Southpoint and have a photo shoot with him, or stop by with your pet on Monday nights from 6:00-9:00 (through December 15) to get a "pet pic with St. Nick" taken. Make sure to print out the online coupon to get a free picture CD with and "Family Value Photo Package".
