Reynolds Coliseum is located on the NC State University's Central Campus in Raleigh. Reynolds Coliseum's official name is The William Neal Reynolds Coliseum, and is named after tobacco magnate and philanthropist (and little brother of R. J. Reynolds) William Neal Reynolds.
Reynolds Coliseum was built in 1949, and was designed to host agricultural expositions as well as sporting events. Reynolds Coliseum can seat a maximum of 14,000 people, but only has a capacity of 9500 during basketball games.
Reynolds Coliseum is home to the NC State Women's Basketball Team, and also hosts several NC State Men's Basketball games every year (the NC State Men's Basketball team plays most of its home games at the RBC Center). The basketball court at Reynolds Coliseum is officially known as Kay Yow Court, and is named after the Kay Yow, who has been the head coach of the NC State Women's Basketball team since 1975.
