The Durham Bulls are Durham, NC's minor league (AAA) baseball team. The Durham Bulls are currently affiliated with the Tampa Bay Rays, but their roots go as far back as 1902, when the North Carolina baseball league was formed.

Since then, hundreds of Durham Bulls players have gone on to play in the major leagues. Notable Bulls players include Lawrence "Crash" Davis ("Crash" of "Bull Durham" cinematic fame was named after him), and four-time All-Star and seven-time Golden Glove-winning catcher Bob Boone. Durham Bulls' pitcher, Jeremy Cummings, is a pitcher for the 2008 USA Olympic Baseball team.

The team plays its home games at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park, a 10,000 seat stadium near downtown Durham. The Durham Bulls Athletic Park was designed by the same architectural firm that designed Camden Yards (the Baltimore Orioles' stadium), and has a similar feel to the "O's" park.

Tickets to the Durham Bulls games can be purchased at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. A buy one get one free coupon is available in the Raleigh Entertainment Book(Buy Direct).

Durham Bulls fans who can't make it to the park will be glad to know that the Bulls games are broadcast on radio (WRJD 1410 AM and 99.9 FM "The Fan") and, occasionally, on television (Retro Television Network WRAZ 50).
