Labor Day weekend in Raleigh-Durham is all about casual, affordable fun and saying goodbye to summer.

As football season gears up, the season is winding down for Raleigh-Durham's professional baseball and soccer teams. Labor Day weekend is one of the last opportunities that fans will have to see the Durham Bulls, Carolina Mudcats, or Carolina RailHawks in action this year.

Music, movie and theater lovers will enjoy Labor Day weekend's ample opportunities for enjoying culture in the great outdoors, and almost everyone will enjoy some late-summer fun at one of the Triangles gorgeous lakes or some delicious barbecue from one of Raleigh-Durham's legendary barbecue joints.
