Raleigh Jaycees 2008 Haunted House is called Terror at Possum Creek: The Penitentiary.
The haunted house is open from Oct. 17-Nov. 1, but is closed Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesday, October 21. Its hours vary, but are generally either 7:00-10:00 p.m. (weekdays in mid-October) or 7:00 p.m.-12:00 midnight (on weekends or weekdays close to Halloween). Admission is $10, pay at the door (cash only). Proceeds benefit local charities, including the Boys and Girls Clubs of North Carolina.
Clayton Fear Farm

The Clayton Fear Farm bills itself as "a haunted scream park." It features several haunted houses in one location, including a school and slaughterhouse-themed haunted houses. The Clayton Fear Farm also offers haunted hay rides, and a 10 acre corn maze (not haunted and appropriate for all ages).
Tickets cost $10 per attraction or $30 for a "Fear Farm Special" ticket which allows admission to all of the Clayton Fear Farm's haunted attractions. The farm's haunted houses are open almost every evening (closed Mondays and Tuesdays) from October 3-November 1.
Durham Jaycees Haunted House

2008 marks the 36th annual Durham Jaycees Haunted House. Last year's haunted house attracted over 3,000 visitors! Admission to the Durham Jaycees Haunted House is $7.00, and proceeds go to local charities.
Town of Cary Haunted House
Saturday, October 25, 5:00-9:00 p.m. Herbert C. Young Community Center, 101 Wilkinson Ave., Cary
Young children will enjoy the "fun fright" version of the Town of Cary's Haunted House, which takes place from 5:00-6:30 p.m. Older kids and teens will most likely prefer the "Terror Tours" which take place from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Admission to the haunted house is $1.00, and the proceeds benefit the Cary Teen Council.
