Durham's Eno Festival is a annual fundraiser for the Eno River Associationhttp://www.enoriver.org/index.htm, a non-profit organization which has been striving to "conserve and protect the natural, cultural and historic resources of the Eno River basin " since 1966. The Festival for the Eno is held every Fourth of July weekend at Durham's West Point on the Eno park.

The Festival for the Eno typically attracts tens of thousands of festival goers who are attracted by "Eno Fest's" five stages of music, dancing, storytelling and other live performances. Many of the performers at the festival are nationally-recognized musicians: past performers at the festival have included Dar Williams and The Nields.

Many of the festival's attendees can also enjoy splashing, sunning or paddling in the Eno River , browsing for handmade gifts sold by local craft artists, or learning more about sustainable living from the festival's "Sustainable Home and Garden Expo".

The Festival for the Eno is a very family-friendly event: kids get free admission, no alcohol is allowed in the park, and most of the festival goers (68% of them, according to a 2007 survey) attend the festival with their families.
