If so, get there early: Mother's Day brunch is 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and seating is on a first come, first served basis. However, The Irregardless Café is accepting reservations for Mother's Day dinner.

This downtown Raleigh restaurant serves up its hearth Mother's Day brunch menu (including shrimp and grits, and huevos rancheros with a side of tortilla chips) from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Reservations are accepted (and can be made online).

Finch's Family Restaurant--Mothers who appreciate good, ol'-fashioned Southern cooking will love being treated to eggs, grits and pecan waffles or any of the other breakfast favorites on Finch's menu. Finch's is a Raleigh landmark, but it’s a diner, so don't expect white table cloths and champagne!

The North Carolina Symphony has a Mother's Day matinee performance of North Carolina Symphony Showstoppers, conducted by Grant Llewellyn. The performance will be at 3:00 p.m. in the Meymandi Concert Hall. Tickets are $32-$47 and can be purchased online or at the Progress Energy Center Box Office.
Sunday May 11, 5:05 p.m. -- Take Mom out to the Ball Game
The Durham Bulls will be playing the Syracuse Chiefs at Durham Bulls Athletic Park on Mother's Day. Hit a home run with Mom by treating her to a relaxing evening at the ball game. Oh, and since it's Pepsi Kids Run the Bases Day at the park, Mom can help make her kid's dreams come true by letting them run the bases after the game. Make sure to bring your camera!
