Halloween Haunted Trolley Tours

October 24th, 2008: 7:00 p.m., 8:00 p.m., & 9:00 p.m.
October 25th, 2008: 7;00-10:00 p.m., departing on the half hour

Take a haunted trolley ride this Halloween. Catch the Halloween Haunted Trolley at Mordecai Historic Park and ride it for a heart-pounding, hour long, journey. Watch out for ghouls when the trolley stops at City Cemetery. Tickets are $10. RSVP in order to guarantee yourself a seat!

Haunted Halloween Mordecai Lantern Tours

October 25, 2008, 5:00-10:00 p.m.

Take an evening tour of Raleigh's Mordecai House, which is reported to be one of the Triangle's most haunted houses. In case the ghosts are hiding during your visit, actors from the Burning Coal Theatre Company will be on hand to provide some ghostly thrills. Tickets are $5.00 and pre-registration is encouraged. Haunted Mordecai Free Halloween Festival

October 25th, 2008: 5:00-10:00 p.m.

Play ghoulish games, make creepy crafts, meet paranormal investigators, and enjoy spine-tingling music and food at the Haunted Mordecai Free Halloween Festival. Fall Festival at Edison Johnson Recreation Center, Durham

October 25, 2008: 6:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m.

Durham Parks and Recreation is hosting an evening of family-friendly Halloween games, music and food, with a sprinkling of spookiness. There's even going to be a Halloween costume contest for the kids! The festival is going to be held at the Edison Johnson Recreation Center, 500 W. Murray Avenue, in Durham. Durham Parks and Recreation Fall Festivals

October 25, 2008: 6:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m.

Durham Parks and Recreation will hosting Fall Festival parties as several locations throughout Durham, including at the Edison Johnson Recreation Center, the Community Family Life & Recreation Center at Lyon Park , I.R. Holmes, Sr. Recreation Center at Campus Hills, the Weaver Street Recreation Center and the W.D. Hill Recreation Center .

Entertainment options and food selections will vary by location, but include activities such as board games, costume contests, pinatas, art and crafts and dance performances. Admission to the Durham Parks and Recreation Fall Festival events is free. For more information, call (919) 560-4355.

Hallow-Eno

Hallow-Eno is a Durham Halloween tradition, held annually at Durham's West Point on the Eno. Hallow-Eno features family-friendly entertainment, including trick-or-treating, hay rides and campfires complete with ghost stories. Admission is free. Halloween Trail at Durant Nature Park

October 24-25, 2008 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.

Learn nature skills, enjoy costumed characters and live entertainment and hike along an enchanted trail at Durant Nature Park. Activities also include arts and crafts, a campfire and hay rides. Halloween Safe Night at the NC History Museum

October 31, 2008 6:00-9:00 p.m.

Enjoy live entertainment (including clowns and magicians), and a trick-or-treat trail that winds its way through the NC Museum of History's exhibits. Raffles and lots of candy are also part of the Halloween fun at this event, which is intended for kids under 12 years of age. Admission is free.
