Sunrise Biscuit Kitchen is a Chapel Hill landmark located on Franklin Street about two miles from the UNC Chapel Hill campus. It's a fast food drive-thru only restaurant that is a great place to go if you're looking for a ham or chicken biscuit (this place really gives Bojangles, Hardees, etc. a run for their money). There's no seating at Sunrise Biscuit Kitchen, but there is room in their parking lot to pull over and enjoy your biscuit.

At Sunrise Biscuit Kitchen, a filling fried chicken or country ham biscuit and a cup of sweet tea will only set you back about $4.00.

Ye Olde Waffle Shop serves up pancakes, waffles, French toast, omelets and sandwiches at reasonable prices and its location, right across Franklin Street from the UNC-Chapel Hill campus, can't be beat! Prices start at about $4.00 for a grilled cheese sandwich, and go up to about $7.00 for a waffle combo (1 waffle, 1 egg, and sausage or bacon).

Two things you need to know about Ye Old Waffle Shop: make sure to bring cash, because you can't pay with a credit card, and on weekends, lines to get into the place can get very, very long.

Yes, Carrburritos is one block over from Franklin Street , on Rosemary Street. However, no list of cheap eats near UNC-Chapel Hill would be complete without Carrburritos. The burritos are huge and cost about $8.00. There is an array of salsas and burrito fillings to choose from. Vegans, vegetarians and meat-eaters will all be comfortable at Carrburritos, and the outdoor patio is a great place to eat on a beautiful day.

As an added bonus, Carrburritos is home to Chapel Hill/Carrboro's only Art O Mat machine, which dispenses $5.00 works of art made by some very talented artists. So Carrburritos will enable you decorate your apartment and fill your belly for under $15.
