The Triangle isn't really a place to live, it's a way of identifying a region that is full of individual cities and towns each with their own character and sense of community. Here are some highlights of the places that make up the Triangle region of North Carolina.

Raleigh

Raleigh is the state capital of North Carolina and the largest city in the Triangle region. It is home to major arts venues, state museums, much-lauded restaurants and both local and global businesses.

Durham

Durahm, the Bull City, is study in reinvention, transformation and the blending of old and new. It has an energy all its own. Durham is home to Duke University and North Carolina Central University.

Chapel Hill

Sometimes called the 'Southern Part of Heaven,' Chapel Hill is a quintessential college town and the home of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Cary

Cary is the town that thinks like Wall Street and feels like Main Street. Home to SASS, Cisco, John Deere and Oxford University Press, the town also has a strong sense of community. This is one of the Triangle's fastest growing areas.

Carrboro

The Paris of the Piedmont, Carrboro's quirky character traits include a dedication to the arts, green-living and high technology.
