The J.C. Raulston Arboretum was founded in 1976 by its namesake, Dr. J.C. Raulston, who was a horticulture professor at N.C. State University. Its eight acres are absolutely packed with plants of all kinds, from the everyday to the exotic. At the J.C. Raulston Arboretum, it seems like there's always something in bloom, no matter what time of year it is, so even winter visitors will be treated to a stunning floral show.

The J.C. Raulston Arboretum is a wonderful place to take a walk, have a picnic, get landscaping ideas, learn about horticulture or to simply bask in the sun. It is located just off of Hillsborough St., between the NC State Campus and the North Carolina State Fairgrounds.
