1. RBC Center

The RBC Center in Raleigh seats 20,000 and hosts the biggest names in music. Legends like Paul McCartney and media sensations like Lady GaGa rock the Triangle here.

2. Time Warner Music Pavillion at Walnut Creek (Walnut Creek Amphitheater)

This massive outdoor venue is the place to kick back in your lawn chair and enjoy your favorite bands from yesterday and today. Don't miss the pre-show tailgate parties or you'll miss half the fun. Walnut Creek Amphitheater is located just outside of Raleigh.

3. Koka Booth Amphitheatre

The Koka Booth Amphitheatre in Cary offers all kinds of summer entertainment including concerts. This is another great outdoor venue that invites picnics and lawn chairs. In addition, Koka Booth is the summer home of the North Carolina Symphony.

4. Duke Performances

The musical acts presented by Duke Performances are designed to explore the current expression of society and culture through music. Open to the public and incredibly accessable to the students, the performances take place on the Duke University campus. 5. Carolina Performing Arts

Carolina Performing Arts has a rich history of bringing the brightest minds in jazz, classical, world music, new music and more to Memorial Hall in Chapel Hill. Each year the programming is based on a theme that is then explored through performances as well as within the academic setting. Tickets are available to the general public.

6. The North Carolina Symphony

The North Carolina Symphony, based in Raleigh, performs almost 150 shows per year. In addition to a regular season of concerts, they dedicate many of their performances to education and outreach. Often they perform in North Carolina public schools, providing an approachable opportunity to experience classical music.
