World Beer Festival
The sixth annual World Beer Festival - Raleigh provides an unlimited sampling from the 250+ beers being served during the session period. There are also live bands and superlative food offerings produced by local restaurants. Plus, there are optional guided beer tastings led by beer experts, and this year, expanded educational presentations to communicate this year's theme, "The Art of Beer". $40 per session. Two sessions: 12-4 p.m. or 6-10 p.m. Moore Square. Raleigh.

Durham Art Walk Spring Market
The Durham Art Walk Spring Market celebrates the creative energy of local artists, arts organizations and downtown entrepreneurs by placing local artists and performers in downtown spaces and businesses in a unique showcase weekend. Unlike conventional studio tours, the Durham Art Walk features visual and performing artists in both traditional and unexpected sites throughout downtown Durham. Sites are within easy walking distance around downtown but there is also free shuttle service provided and visitors can take the new Bull City Connector Saturday 10 a.m - 5 p.m.; Sunday 1-5 p.m. Downtown Durham.

Full Frame Documentary Film Festival
Full Frame showcases the contemporary work of established and emerging documentary filmmakers. The festival provides a space that nurtures conversation between artists, students, and the Full Frame audience. Full Frame is committed to enhancing public understanding and appreciation of the art form and its significance, while making films more accessible to a wider audience. ChathamArts’ 10th Annual ClydeFEST celebrates legendary folk artist Clyde Jones and promises an all-day carnival of art, educational games, music, food and fun. Clydeville will be located at the Bynum Ballpark, just around the corner from Jones’ famous backyard full of cedar 'raffes, ’gators, deer, rabbits and other chain saw “critters.” This time ClydeFEST focuses on environmental education, including Waste Management’s “Cycler,” aclydeFEST “robot” who teaches kids about recycling waste. There will be booths, exhibits and activities by Chatham Conservation Partners, Triangle Land Conservancy, the Haw River Assembly, Chatham Beekeepers Association, Bynum Community Garden, Pittsboro Montessori School, Chatham Independent School and Friends of Pittsboro Library. There will also be music, games, storytelling and food. Admission is $7 for adults and $3 for children under 12. Adult tickets include a chance to win a Clyde Critter. Bynum is located off of U.S. 15-501 between Pittsboro and Chapel Hill. (Rain date: April 17.) 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Bynum.
Great Grapes Wine & Food Festival
At Great Grapes you can sample among 200 wines from 20 North Carolina Wineries. Enjoy live music, food, crafts and wine pairing demonstrations. Kids 12 and under are free and can enjoy a moon bounce and crafts. Tickets required. $20 in advance or $25 at the door. 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. Koka Booth Amphitheatre. Cary.

16th Annual Piedmont Farm Tour
The Piedmont Farm Tour is a self-guided tour that features dozens of farms in Orange, Chatham, Alamance, Durham and Person counties. Come learn about the Triangle’s local and organic farm and food scene. Meet local farmers and tour their beautiful farms. It’s great for the whole family. Cost: $25 per car for ALL FARMS if purchased in advance, $30 per car for ALL FARMS if purchased during the tour, and $10 per car per farm the day of the tour. You are encouraged to bring a cooler to purchase items from the farms. Please leave your pets at home. 1-5 p.m.

Hillsborough Downtown Arts and Crafts Show
The Hillsborough Downtown Arts and Craft Show is a juried show that offers original artwork and quality handcrafted items for sale. Entertainment is provided by professional musicians throughout the day. This year, the Hillsborough Arts Council will present the inaugural 2011 Hillsborough Public Sculpture Exhibition, which will run through September 30, 2011. 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Alexander Dickson House lawn (Orange County Visitors Center).
