Annual Youth Fishing Rodeo

Ages 3-15. Enjoy a morning of fishing fun followed by a hotdog lunch. Bring your own pole or use one use one provided (limited number available). Bait provided. Site opens at 9 am. Registration 9:15 am - 9:45 am. Fishing 9:30 am - 11:15 am. Free lunch 11:15 am - 12:30 pm. Prizes awarded to 1st fish caught, and fish size by age group and most creative hat. Raleigh Restaurant Week

Come out and enjoy Raleigh's Restaurant Week. Participating venues will be offering fixed price, three course meals for lunch and dinner. Pricing runs $15 for lunch and $30 for dinner. This is a great time to try out some places you haven't been yet or revisit old favorites. Coupons or tickets are not necessary - simply visit the participating restaurants! The American Dance Festival

The American Dance Festival (ADF ) is the largest and most influential modern dance festival in the world, featuring more than two dozen modern dance companies and hundreds of choreographers, writers and students participating in classes, seminars, and performances. Performances are held on the Duke University Campus and DPAC- Durham Performing Arts Center.

Attract and observe insects of the night at the Museum's wetlands. UV (black) and strong lights will lure moths, beetles and other night active insects to the stations set up on the boardwalk. Billed as 'The Cackalacky Cookout,' the family-friendly anniversary event celebrated at A Southern Season will feature Original Cackalacky Spice Sauce, hats, shirts, and bumper stickers; the NC Dept of Agriculture's Big Shopping Cart; dark beers from Duck Rabbit Brewery; The Guilty Pleasures Bluegrass Band; pork barbecue sandwiches and other NC specialty foods vendors. Join the Chapel Hill Historical Society for an evening recounting the days when Chapel Hill was a village with no shortage of characters, as told by one of Chapel Hill's favorite current characters, Freddie Kiger.
