The countdown to the holidays continues this weekend, and it's an especially big weekend for holiday parades. In fact, there are no fewer than seven holiday parades taking place in the Raleigh-Durham area this weekend, including the Durham Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting, which will take place starting at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 6.

If you already need a break from holiday-themed entertainment and/or the mall, check out the World Famous Lipizzaner Stallions as they perform their breathtaking equine ballet at the RBC Center on Friday night. The gorgeous Lipizzaner horses are sure to provide family-friendly entertainment that will enchant your children, and, hopefully, won't provoke an hour-long beg-a-thon for the outrageously expensive and/or out-of-stock gift of their choice (unless they really want a pony for Christmas!).
